Transcription of Classroom response to short film

Back again for more I see? I can't say I blame you. I applaud you. I also applaud myself for bringing you back into the world of my blog.

Here is my online transcription of a short response to a film that was screened at the beginning of our first 6x1 class.

I really enjoyed the middle movement and how McLaren played around with the 3D plane. He made lines move up and down, left and right, and forward and backward. Of course, there is something to be said about the synchronization of specific frames with accentuated beats and notes in the music, I think most people would've picked up on that. But this is also varied by snare and bass drum hits, high pitched piano keys and symbol crashes. At times, the frame became an absolute mess. It reminded me of baby drawings where an infant just take a bunch of crayons and draws whatever movement their hands make. I thought the music was awesome and catchy. The nature of the frames also echoed the mood of the score in many places. I faintly remember seeing some fruit shaped objects in a few frames. Perhaps a pineapple in one. The rest of the shapes and designs I really tried to identify with, but no luck. It's interesting to me to wonder how much work the film actually took. Was the filmmaker able to make revisions?

Until next time noble followers,

ConB
